Whilst reading the latest PMI magazine, there are articles related to the influence of the PM - I work in a heavily matrixed organisation and feel that this 'ownership' of projects is hugely misrepresented. It often feels as though the PM is the ONLY person on the project, with occasionally the input of a technical lead.
